Ancelotti: "People are tired of seeing my face every day"

Ancelotti has highlighted his experience in coaching, saying he has more knowledge than younger managers. However, he admitted that he feels like a "grandfather" in the face of criticism. "People love young people. Someone with experience is sometimes like a grandfather, you get tired of seeing him every day. It's the same with me. People are tired of seeing my face every day," he said.
However, the Italian coach added that his age motivates him, saying, "I still have the excitement of a child inside me, but my age works against me. Experience is gained over time and cannot be bought. After working in football for 40 years, I think I have learned something."
Ancelotti also praised Real Madrid's next game, the first leg of the Copa del Rey semi-final against Real Sociedad. "It's always difficult to play against Real Sociedad. They play good football and we want to keep our rhythm. I expect a tough, competitive and entertaining match," he said.
Ancelotti, who faces a busy fixture schedule in both La Liga and the Copa del Rey following the Champions League clash with Manchester City, said he was pleased with his players' performances but reiterated that the current schedule was not sustainable. "It's a ridiculous fixture list for all the teams. But despite that we are doing well," he commented.
Finally, speaking about the future of Luka Modric, who came to the fore with his magnificent goal against Girona, Ancelotti said that the club will hold talks with the Croatian star and that the decision will be left to the player. "Names like Modric, Kroos and Nacho are legends of Real Madrid. Legends have the right to decide about their own future. The club and the players will make the right decision," he said.
